It’s common to see that the problems increase when a city grown up, Tuxtla Gutierrez isn’t the exception. We can’t compare with other cities like the D.F but the persons that live here a lot of time can feel the change. Today it’s easy see or be a victim of the crime and the ways to solve the problems need to be reinforced, the things that the police and the government make before, today aren’t enough.

The government of Chiapas has been took measures to combat the street crime like give patrol cars, motorcycles or implement programs like “proximity policeman”. To eradicate the crime it’s important too the citizen participation.

The statistics point that Tuxtla is one of the better places to live, the report of the justice minister of the first four-month of the 2008, point that Tuxtla Gutierrez has fall of 14 percent compared with the same period of the last year in the commission of crime that considered of high impact.

In the crime with arms, the study point a fall of 50 percent, the vehicles steal have a fall of 46 percent and the violation a fall of 31 percent less compared with the 2007.

The statistics are favourable, but the government still has a long road to cover to make the live in Tuxtla better.
